Hello, everyone! I'm happy to share my training journey for two marathons in two months. Yes, you read that right. I will run the Las Vegas Half Marathon this Sunday, February 25, and then the Vancouver Full Marathon on May 5. It's a crazy challenge, but I'm ready for it!

Why I Decided to Do This

I've always loved running and have done the Las Vegas half marathon. When I began running, a half marathon seemed too daunting, exhausting, and time-consuming. But then I saw an advertisement for the Las Vegas Half Marathon, and something clicked in me. Why not give it a try? It's only half the distance and in a fun city.

So, I signed up and started training last fall. I followed a 12-week plan that gradually increased my mileage and intensity. I ran three times a week, with one long run on the weekend. I also did some cross-training, like elliptical, weights, and yoga. I felt good, and I was making progress.

But then I realized that I wanted more. I wanted to challenge myself even further and see what I could do. I wanted to run a full marathon. And not just any marathon, but the Vancouver Marathon, one of Canada's most scenic and popular.

So I signed up for that, too, and adjusted my training plan accordingly. I plan to add another weekly run and increase my long runs to 25 kilometers. I plan on working on my nutrition, hydration, and recovery. I know it will be hard, but I was determined to do it.

How I'm Feeling Now

I'm only a few days away from the Las Vegas Half Marathon as I write this. I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. I'm excited to run in a big city with thousands of other runners and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Strip. I'm also nervous about how I'll perform, how I'll cope with the atmosphere and climate, and how I'll recover afterwards.

I'm also considering the Vancouver Full Marathon, which is only 10 weeks away. I'm confident I can do it, but I also know it's a different beast. It's twice the distance and has more hills, turns, and weather variations. I'll have to train harder, smarter, and more consistently.

What I'll Write About Along the Way

I started this blog to document my journey and to share it with you. I'll write about my training, my races, and my experiences. I'll also write about the things that I learned along the way, such as:

- How to run longer distances without getting bored or injured
- How to eat and drink properly before, during, and after a run
- How to balance running with other aspects of my life, such as work, family, and friends
- How to deal with setbacks, challenges, and doubts
- How to celebrate achievements, milestones, and personal records

I hope to inspire, motivate, and entertain you by writing this blog. I also hope to learn from you and get your feedback, tips, and support. Running is not only a physical activity but also a mental and emotional one. It's a way to explore ourselves, our limits, and our potential. It's a way to connect with others, nature, and ourselves.

So join me on this adventure, and let's run together!
